Bearing for idler is mainly used to withstand pure radial load, but also can bear radial and axial loads at the same time. When it is only subjected to pure radial load, the contact angle is zero. When bearing for idler has larger radial clearance, it has the performance of angular contact bearing, and can bear larger axial load. The friction coefficient of bearing for idler is very small, and the limit speed is also high, especially in the condition of high axial load, bearing for idler is more advantageous than thrust ball bearing. Compared with other bearings with the same size, the friction coefficient of this kind of bearing is small and the limit speed is high. When the speed is higher, it is not suitable to use thrust ball bearings, and the bearings can be used to bear axial load. After the bearing for idler is installed on the shaft, the axial displacement of the shaft or shell can be limited to the axial clearance of the bearing. At the same time, when the shell hole and shaft (or outer ring to the inner ring) relative tilt, (not more than 8-16 according to clearance), still can work normally. However, if there is an inclination, it is necessary to reduce the service life of the bearing.
Compared with other bearings with same size, bearing for idler has the smallest friction loss and the higher limit speed. When the speed is higher, it is not suitable to use thrust ball bearings, so the bearings can bear the pure axial load. If we improve the manufacturing precision, and the use of bakelite, bronze, aluminum and other materials of solid cage, it can also improve the speed.
Bearing for idler structure is simple, compared with other types of easy to achieve higher manufacturing accuracy, so easy to series of mass production, manufacturing costs are low, the use is very common. When the larger radial clearance is chosen, the axial bearing capacity increases, and the contact angle is zero when the radial force is pure. When the axial force is applied, the contact angle is greater than zero. Generally, the stamping wave cage is used, the cage is made of the car, and the nylon frame is sometimes used. Installation method of bearing for idler
Pressing fit
Bearing inner ring and shaft which is tightly matched with the outer ring and bearing seat hole is a loose fit, can press the bearing pressure mounted on the shaft, and the shaft together with the bearing load in the bearing hole, pressing on the end surface of the inner ring, a soft cushion assembly sleeve made of metal material (copper or steel), the bearing outer ring and bearing seat hole is tightly matched with the inner ring and shaft is a loose fit, the bearing can be pressed into the bearing hole, then the assembly sleeve diameter should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the hole seat. If the bearing ring and the shaft and hole are tight fit, installation of interior ring and the outer ring and pressed into the shaft and hole structure, the assembly sleeve should be able to face tight and bearing inner and outer rings.
Heating fit
By heating the bearing or bearing seat, the tight fit can be changed into loose fit by means of thermal expansion. It is a common and labor-saving installation method. This method is suitable for a large amount of surplus bearing installation, hot charging before the bearing or separable bearing rings into the tank in the uniform heating of 80-100 DEG C, then removed from the oil as soon as possible fitted to the shaft, to prevent cooling after the end face of the inner ring and shaft shoulder joint is not tight, the bearing cooling can be axial fastening. When the bearing outer ring is tightly matched with the bearing seat made of light metal, the hot fitting method of the heating bearing seat can avoid the abrasion of the mating surface. With oil tank heating bearings, from the bottom at a certain distance should be a mesh, or with a hook hanging bearing, bearing can not be put on the bottom, to prevent the heavy impurities into the bearing or uneven heating, the tank must be strictly control the temperature thermometer, shall not exceed 100 degrees, to prevent the occurrence of the tempering effect, make the ring hardness decreased.
Bearing for idler installation method, in general case is the rotation of the spindle in most cases, so the inner ring and shaft coordination is over win cooperation, bearing outer ring and bearing chamber coordination is clearance fit. Bearing operation check, bearing installation after the end, should be immediately running inspection, has been determined whether the installation is normal.
